I shot this photo last July in Aquitaine, France. This is nearly the final version, like a .9 version before release, but it is the first of the scans to come back from the lab. I will have 30 colour shots, and 20 black and white shots for the Bastides section of the GRID series. I returned recently from the last shoot in the Tarn and Averyon regions, which will complete the project.
This year will be a lot of shooting, and production to finish the part of the GRID project that deals with France, Portugal and Spain. I’ll probably shoot something different next. I have a portrait project in mind exploring choice and coincidence.

Fungus provokes me to hit the frog and toad. I had to close ESTUDIFRED due to an outbreak of fungus and mould after a very humid summer. What a bummer! I’m on my bike, looking for a new home next year. Meantime, re-shooting GRID Barcelona in B&W this autumn and spring 2013, and editing the last France shoot from summer 2012. Taking a while… but it will be beautiful! Stay tuned for exhibition news as I hit the frog and show my work to galleries. Damn the torpedoes!
